UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Nittany Lion men's golf team travels to Zionsville, Ind. Saturday to compete in the three-round Wolf Run Intercollegiate hosted by Indiana. The Wolf Run Golf Club boasts a 7,155 yard, par 71 course that will welcome a field of 84 golfers.
In the field with Penn State and Indiana will be Akron, Ball State, Chattanooga, Eastern Michigan, Florida, Houston, Illinoi, IUPUI, Kentucky, Miami (OH), Northern Illinois, South Alabama, Williams & Mary.
Junior JD Dornes (Lancaster, Pa.), who led the Blue and White to a second place finish at the Wolverine Intercollegiate Sept. 6-7, will look to carry the momentum into this weekend as a starter. He'll be joined by senior Jens Talbert (Little Rock, Ark.), sophomore Cody Cox (Milford, Pa.), and freshmen duo Josh Rinehart (York, Pa.) and Cole Miller (New Tripoli, Pa.).
The Wolf Run Intercollegiate will kick off with a shotgun start Saturday for the first 36 holes, followed by tee times to wrap up the final 18 on Sunday. While no live scoring will be available, recaps will be posted following each day of the event on www.GoPSUsports.com.
