Zionsville, Ind. - The second round of the Wolf Run Intecollergiate at the Wolf Run Golf Club in Zionsville, Ind. was postponed Saturday due to storms in the area. The field of 15 will wrap up the round Sunday morning before immediately heading into the final 18 holes. Penn State stands in ninth place overall with a 300 first round team score.
Freshman Cole Miller (New Tripoli, Pa.) and senior Jens Talbert (Little Rock, Ark.) lead the Nittany Lions with a pair of 74's in round one and tied-for-17th placings. Trailing by one stroke is junior JD Dornes (Lancaster, Pa.), who marked a 75 and will enter day two tied for 23rd.
Sophomore Cody Cox (Milford, Pa.) posted a 77 on the day as freshman Josh Rinehart (York, Pa.) rounded out the scoring for Penn State starters with an 84.
Illinois is in first place by a measure of ten strokes. Brian Campbell of the Fighting Illini and Scott Cahill of Miami (OH) are tied for the lead with 1-under-par first round tallies of 70.
A 9:30 a.m. shotgun start will kick off the remainder of round two and the pairings will continue directly into round three Sunday.
