Bill Belton Voted Ironman of the Week

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -Running back Bill Belton (Sicklerville, N.J.) has been named this week's Iron Workers Union No. 3 "Ironman of the Game" for his role in last week's 48-7 win over Massachusetts. Belton received the most fan votes of the four nominees this week to win these honors.

Early in the first quarter, Belton ignited Nittany Lion momentum with a 14-yard rush to put Penn State in position for a field goal. Continuing his efforts, Belton rushed 24 yards for the first touchdown of the day. Nearing the end of the first half, Belton found the end zone after a 40-yard rush. He tallied a total of 76 yards on seven carries.

So far this season, the running back has appeared in all four games rushing for 182 yards while grabbing 114 receiving yards. He tallies four touchdowns in four games.

He was named to the Doak Walker watch list in July.

In 2013, the Sicklerville native was second on the team with 1,036 all-purpose yards. He recorded five rushing touchdowns in eleven games. He earned a pair of Ironman honors that season.
