Sept. 28, 2014 UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Nittany Lion men's golf team heads to Meadows of Dan, Va. Sept. 29-30 for the inaugural Primland Collegiate Invitational. The tournament will be the first hosted by Wake Forest in 28 years.
The par-72, 7,053-yard Highland Course at Primland is ranked one of the top public courses in America. Auburn, Clemson, North Carolina, Tennessee, UNCW, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Penn State and Wake Forest will face off in the two-day, 52-hole competition.
Senior Jens Talbert (Little Rock, Ark.) and junior JD Dornes (Lancaster, Pa.) will lead the way for the Nittany Lions followed by sophomores Christian Elliott (Port Perry, Ontario)and Cody Cox (Milford, Pa.). Freshman Cole Miller (New Tripoli, Pa.) will round out the lineup for the Blue and White.
Tee times will begin at 8:30 a.m. both Monday and Tuesday. Live scoring for the event will be available at www.golfstat.com followed by recaps for each day of play.
