UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Frannie Crouse (Greensburg, Pa.) was named the Big Ten Women's Soccer Freshman of the Week for the second straight week after scoring five goals in matches against Bucknell, Northwestern and Illinois.
Crouse scored three goals, dished out one assist and took nine shots over three games this weekend. Against Bucknell, she netted a pair and notched an assist for five points, the most in a single game for any Nittany Lion this season. Crouse scored Penn State's first goal against Illinois and versus Northwestern, she took two shots, both of which were on goal.
The Nittany Lions (10-1, 5-0 Big Ten, the top team in the Big Ten, will look to extend their perfect conference record at Minnesota and Wisconsin this weekend. Penn State faces the Golden Gophers on Fri., Oct. 3 at 8 p.m. (ET) and Wisconsin on Sun., Oct. 5 at noon (ET).
