Men's Volleyball Set to Host Coaches Clinic

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State men's volleyball head coach Mark Pavlik has announced that the Nittany Lions are set to host a coaches clinic Friday, Nov. 7 and Saturday, Nov. 8 in Rec Hall.

Designed to offer a comprehensive education for coaches in all facets of volleyball, the two-day clinic features on-court instruction as well as instruction on how to use video to scout and teach. Coaches will also be able to actively engage in a behind the scenes look at team training and preparation, as the Nittany Lions will showcase a team practice and a team scrimmage.

The clinic fee covers instruction, materials and participant social following the first day of instruction. Interested coaches can register and submit payment online by credit card or e-check. Final registration for the clinic will be held at Rec Hall in the South Gym from 3 p.n. to 4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 7. Coach Pavlik and his will be available throughout the duration of the clinic to answer questions and interact with participating coaches.

Head coach Mark Pavlik enters his 21st season at the helm of the Penn State men's volleyball squad. Having guided the 2014 team to its 16th consecutive appearance in the NCAA national semifinals, last year's team also earned its 30th overall EIVA regular season title. Earning his fourth EIVA Coach of the Year honor, the 2014 EIVA title marked the 19th time that Pavlik guided his team to a regular-season title. Penn State also captured its 26th overall and 16th consecutive EIVA Championship crown last season before heading into NCAA tournament play.
