UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.- As the second day of the ITA Regionals concluded, Penn State continued the consistent singles play. Victoria Kisialeva (Toronto, Canada) defeated Gaby Rosales of Richmond 6-2, 6-2. Kisialeva moves on to play Cassie Mercer of Virginia in the round of32. Taylor Shukow (Boca Raton, Fla.) continued the consitent play as she beat Dina Karina of Temple 6-4, 6-1. Shukow is set to battle Skylar Morton of Virginia Sunday morning.
In the doubles bracket, the doubles team of Shukow and Katherine Whiteaway (Sawbridgeworth) were defeated by Crist/Thong of Liberty 8-2.
The third day of the ITA Regionals takes place Sunday with doubles play beginning at 9:00 a.m., followed by singles play starting at 11:00 a.m. Both Kisialeva and Shukow are slated to play at 11:30 a.m. Live scoring is available using the link: www.hokiesports.com/wtennis/brackets.
