WILMINGTON, N.C. - The Penn State women's golf team completed the final round of the Landfall Tradition with a 12-over par round (300). Overall, the Nittany Lions came in 18th place with 924 strokes (+60) for the tournament.
Senior Katlyn Elliott (Peterborough, Ontario) worked her way up the leaderboard on the final day of the fall season as she moved into a tie for 55th. Elliott used four birdies and an eagle on her way to a one-under 71. The senior finished the tournament at nine-over (225).
Freshman Ariana Coyle Diez (Mount Merrion, Ireland) wrapped up a solid tournament with yet another consistent round, shooting a one-over 73. Coyle Diez finished the tournament tied with Elliott in 55th with a three-day total of 225 (-9). Sophomore Kendall Allen (Pittsburgh, Pa) concluded her first tournament of the year with a 77 (+5), paring 12 of 18 holes on the day. Junior Grace Chung (Richmond Hill, Ontario) fought her way to a 79 (+7). Senior Erin Michel (Mason, Ohio) played the final day of the event at 89 (+17).
Wake Forest held onto their lead, shooting a +2 (290) to win the tournament with an even-par total of 864. Meanwhile, Ashley Holder of UCF was able to fend off pressure from Nanna Madsen of South Carolina. Holder shot even par on the last round to emerge victorious with a seven-under 290 for the tournament.
