Hull Named Ironman for the Third Time This Season

Oct. 29, 2014

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Mike Hull (Canonsburg, Pa.) has been named this week's Iron Workers Union No. 3 "Ironman of the Game" for his exceptional performance in Saturday's double overtime White Out game against No. 13 Ohio State.

Hull's third Ironman honor of the season is on the heels of his career-high of tackles, the most hits since 2011 when Gerald Hodges had 19 against Illinois. Hull's 19 stops include 2.5 for a loss (minus-7). He also recorded one interception.

The defensive co-captain currently leads the Big Ten Conference and is sixth nationally with a total of 83 tackles.

Hull was added to the Chuck Bednarik Award Watch List this week.
