Penn State-Temple Set For Noon Kick on ESPN2

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa., - Penn State's Military Appreciation Day game against Temple has been set for a 12 p.m. ET kick on November 15. ESPN2, the Penn State Sports Network and GoPSUsports.com will air the contest from Beaver Stadium.

Coach James Franklin's Nittany Lions host the Owls for the final non-conference game of the season. Penn State and Temple first met in 1931, will be meeting for the 43rd time and playing for the first time since 2012, when the Nittany Lions posted a 24-13 win in Beaver Stadium. The teams are scheduled to play in each of the next three seasons, including the Sept. 5, 2015 season opener in Philadelphia's Lincoln Finacial Field. Temple is coached by Matt Rhule, a former Penn State football student-athlete.

More than 5,500 tickets have been purchased by Penn State for the "Seats For Soldiers" program and will be donated to active duty and veteran military personnel and their families for the Temple game. This year's donated ticket total is more than double the 2,500 total sold in 2013.

ROTC elite, active duty, Wounded Warriors and veterans will be honored for their service to our country throughout the Penn State-Temple game.

Fans interested in purchasing the $35 "Seats for Soldiers" tickets to donate to military personnel and their families can call 1-800-NITTANY, weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m, or visit the Bryce Jordan Center ticket office, weekdays from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. For information on Penn State's Military Appreciation Week leading up to the Military Appreciation Day in Beaver Stadium, log onto: military.psu.edu.

The Nittany Lions (5-4) defeated Indiana on Saturday, while Temple (5-4) fell to Memphis, 16-13, on Friday. The Owls defeated then-No. 23 East Carolina, 20-10, on Nov. 1.

Penn State will be making its sixth appearance of the season on an ESPN network when it hosts Temple. Every Penn State football game has been televised the past 10 seasons and 249 of the last 251 contests overall have been on TV.All Penn State football and men's and women's basketball games air on the Penn State Sports Network and www.GoPSUsports.com.

The kick times and TV for Penn State's games at Illinois (Nov. 22) and the Senior Day Clash vs. No. 7 Michigan State (Nov. 29) will be determined and announced either six or 12 days prior to each contest.

Penn State football average home attendance is up 6,037 per game this fall compared to the first five games of 2013, for an average of 102,257 this season. More than 6,000 new Penn State football season tickets and more than 78,000 single game and group tickets have been sold this year.

Tickets are available for Penn State's last two home games of the season: Nov. 15 vs. Temple (Military Appreciation Day/Seats For Soldiers) and the Nov. 29 Senior Day clash against No. 7 Michigan State. The kick times for both games are to be determined
