Postgame Notes vs. USF

INDIVIDUAL NOTES
-Freshman Lindsey Spann finished with a career-best 28 points, topping her previous high of 23 against Rider on Dec. 14.
-Spann leads the team in double-digit performances and has now earned 10 or more points in 10 of her first 11 career games. She has netted 20 points in three of those contests.
-Spann's 28 points vs. USF are the most by a Penn State player since Ariel Edwards netted 29 points vs. Ohio State in the Big Ten Tournament on March 7, 2014.
-The freshman tied her career-high with 11 field goals made and set career-best marks in field goals attempted (22), along with free throws made (5) and attempted (9).
-Junior Candice Agee recorded her first career double-double with 21 points and 11 boards. She is the sixth different Lady Lion to accomplish the feat this season.
-Agee's 21 points equaled her career-high which came against Seton Hall on Nov. 22, and her 11 rebounds are a career best, surpassing her previous high of nine, which she accomplished four times, most recently against Rider on Dec. 14, 2014.
-Agee swatted four more shots vs. USF and now has 24 blocks on the season, surpassing her career-best total of 21 from 2013-14.
-The five free throws made and nine attempted for Agee were also career-high marks.
-Sophomore Sierra Moore earned her second career double-double with a 17-point, 10-rebound performance vs. USF. Her previous double-double came earlier this season vs. Seton Hall (Nov. 22; 14 pts., 10 rebs.).
-Moore moved past the 200-career point plateau with her 17 point effort, ending the afternoon with 202 career tallies, with 139 of those points coming in a Lady Lion uniform. She also netted 63 points during her freshman season at Duke.
-Moore equaled her career high in boards with 10, the last time she accomplished that feat was Nov. 22 vs. Seton Hall.
-Playing in her first game this season, sophomore Alex Harris set career-highs in points (9), free throws made (3) and attempted (8), and minutes played (31). She also tied her career-best marks in field goals made (3) and attempted (5), assists (2) and blocked shots (3).
-Harris also pulled down eight rebounds to push her career total over the century mark. She now has 104 career boards.
-Sophomore Peyton Whitted tied her career-high with a pair of assists.
TEAM NOTES
-This was the first meeting between Penn State and USF.
-The Lady Lions are 26-15 all-time against American Athletic Conference opponents.
-Sunday marked the second overtime game of the season for Penn State. It is the first time since the 2010-11 season that the Lady Lions have played in multiple overtime games.
-The Lady Lions are now 20-18 in program history in overtime games.
-It was the first overtime contest at the Bryce Jordan Center for the Lady Lions since a 71-65 win vs. Michigan on Feb. 18, 2010.
-Three players scored double-digit figures Sunday, marking the second straight game Coquese Washington has seen her team accomplish the feat and the seventh time this season.
-Also for the second time this season at least two Lady Lions scored 20 or more points in a contest, three reached the 20-point plateau vs. Wagner, Dec. 7.
-PSU saw Candice Agee (21 pts., 11 rebs.) and Sierra Moore (17 pts., 10 rebs.) each record double-doubles vs. USF. It was the first time since Feb. 20, 2012 in which more than one Lady Lion achieved the feat in the same game. That day, Nikki Greene, Mia Nickson and Maggie Lucas all posted double-doubles vs. Ohio State.
-Penn State has now scored 85 or more points in three of its last four contests.
-The Lady Lions set team-highs for field goals attempted (67), free throws attempted (40) and rebounds (54), white tying their season-high with nine blocked shots.
-Penn State attempted 40 free throws, marking its highest total since taking 43 charity shots vs. St. Francis (Pa.) in the 2013-14 season opener.
-Sunday's contest included 18 ties as well as 18 lead changes between the two teams, with 16 ties and 16 lead changes coming after halftime.
- The Lady Lions take a week-long break for the holidays and return to open Big Ten Conference play with a pair of road games at Iowa on Sunday, Dec. 28 and at Michigan on Thursday, Jan. 1. Both games are available on BTN Plus. Penn State is back in the BJC on Sunday, Jan. 4 to meet Illinois at 2 p.m. for First Responders Day.
