Hull Named Ironman of the Game for Performance in Regular Season Finale

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Mike Hull (Canonsburg, Pa.) has been named this week's Iron Workers Local Union No. 3 "Ironman of the Game" for his unrivaled performance in the regular season finale vs. Michigan State last Saturday.

In his final contest at Beaver Stadium, Hull left it all on the field making 13 stops (1.5 TFL) against the Spartans.

Hull, ranked seventh nationally and Big Ten conference leading tackler, tallies 134 total tackles on the season averaging 11.2 per game. The co-captain records 10.5 tackles for loss, two sacks and one interception, one forced fumble, one fumble recovery and three pass break-ups this season.

Hull was announced the Butkus-Fitzgerald Linebacker of the Year as well as first-team All-Big Ten by the coaches and media. He accepted an invitation to play in the 66th Senior Bowl that will take place on January 24, 2015.

The Penn State Nittany Lions are bowl eligible for its 45th bowl game. Bowl selections will be announced of Dec. 7.
