Nittany Lion Wrestlers Hold Steady in National Rankings

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State Nittany Lion wrestling team, under the guidance of head coach Cael Sanderson, continues to roll with eight individuals ranked national as Intermat has released its latest national release. Sanderson's team remains ranked No. 7 in Intermat's Tournament Power Index (TPI).

Junior Jordan Conaway (Abbottstown, Pa.) is ranked No. 8 at 125 with a 14-3 record. Sophomore Jimmy Gulibon (Latrobe, Pa.) is ranked No. 7 at 133 with a 14-2 mark. Sophomore Zack Beitz (Mifflintown, Pa.) is 9-5 at 149 and ranked No. 17. Senior Dylan Alton (Mill Hall, Pa.) is ranked No. 7 at 157 and is 7-2 overall.

Senior Matt Brown (West Valley City, Utah) is ranked No. 4 at 174 and is 14-2 on the year. Red-shirt freshman Matt McCutcheon (Apollo, Pa.) is ranked no. 16 at 184 with a 17-7 mark. Junior Morgan McIntosh (Santa Ana, Calif.) is 15-2 at 197 and ranked No. 6. Senior Jimmy Lawson (Toms River, N.J.) is ranked No. 6 at 285 with an 8-0 record.

Penn State is 6-1 overall, 1-1 in Big Ten duals. The Nittany Lions are at Rutgers on Friday night at 7 p.m. and return to Rec Hall on Sunday for a 1 p.m. dual with Purdue.
