UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - The Penn State Lady Lions (3-14, 0-6) close out a string of five road games in seven contests to open Big Ten play when they travel to Ohio State (11-7, 3-3) Sunday at 2 p.m. The webstream of the game is available on BTN Plus for a fee.

  • Candice Agee had a near double-double with 13 points and eight rebounds, but the Lady Lions fell to #17/15 Nebraska, 73-45, Thursday night.
  • Agee was 6-for-12 from the field on the way to her 13-point performance.
  • Sophomore Kaliyah Mitchell had a career-high 12 rebounds to go along with eight points, four steals and two assists.
  • Fellow sophomore Keke Sevillian was 3-for-4 from the field en route to nine points, which tied her personal best set earlier this season against Rider.
  • Sophomore Sierra Moore added nine points with two steals.

    SCOUTING OHIO STATE

  • The Buckeyes are 11-7 overall and 3-3 in Big Ten Conference play.
  • Ohio State has notable wins over West Virginia, Rutgers and Florida Gulf Coast.
  • Freshman phenom Kelsey Mitchell leads the Big Ten in scoring at a 25.6 clip, while also leading the team in assists (4.2) and steals (2.1).
  • Ameryst Alston completes the high-scoring tandem, averaging 21.3 points per game, which is second in the Big Ten. She also accounts for 3.0 assists and 1.3 assists per game, while connecting on nearly 50 percent of her shots (49.8).
  • Shayla Cooper also averages double figures at 10.7 points per game, while Alexa Hart adds 10.6. points per outing to go along with team bests of 7.7 rebounds and 3.8 blocks.

    ALL-TIME VERSUS THE BUCKEYES

  • The Lady Lions are 36-22 all-time against Ohio State, including wins in five of the last six outings.
  • Penn State is 12-9 all-time in games played in Columbus with wins in its last two visits.
  • The Lady Lions swept the regular-season series last year, but dropped a 99-82 decision in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals.

    LAST TIME VERSUS OSU

  • Ohio State shot a sizzling 71.9% from the field and a 71.4% from three-point range in the first half en route to a 99-82 win over the Lady Lions in the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinals.
  • Senior guard/forward Ariel Edwards continued her string of 20-point games with a personal-best 29 tallies to go along with 10 rebounds for her fifth career double-double to lead Penn State.
  • Maggie Lucas became the Big Ten's and Penn State's career three-pointers leader with a pair of makes from behind the arc to bring her career total to 358 triples, which breaks Kelly Mazzante's record of 357.
  • Lucas finished with 21 tallies to go with six rebounds and three steals.
  • Senior guard Dara Taylor also reached double figures with 14 tallies to compliment eight assists and two steals.

  • Sophomore Kaliyah Mitchell pulled down a career-high 12 rebounds at Nebraska on Jan. 15.
  • Her effort tops her previous best of 10 boards, which she had done three times in her career, including twice this season.
  • Mitchell added eight points, narrowly missing her second career double-double, and collected four steals.
  • Mitchell's 12 rebounds tied Tori Waldner's total vs. Samford (11/30/14) for the most by a Lady Lion this season.

    SEVILLIAN TIES CAREER MARK

  • Sophomore Keke Sevillian tied her career high with nine points against Nebraska on Jan. 15.
  • She also equaled her personal best with two three-pointers made.
  • Sevillian also had nine points vs. Rider (12/14/14) and had pair of threes vs. Towson (11/14/14).
  • On the season, Sevillian has surpassed her scoring total from a year ago (31) with 47 tallies on the season.

    2015 PINK ZONE AT PENN STATE

  • The Ninth Annual Pink Zone at Penn State will be held Sunday, March 1 in the Bryce Jordan Center when the Lady Lions take on Wisconsin. The time for the game will be determined later in the season.
  • Last year, the Lady Lions donated a record $310,000 to breast cancer causes.
  • All totaled, the Lady Lions have donated more than $1.135 million for breast cancer research and awareness in the first eight years.
  • This year's fundraising efforts will benefit the Mount Nittany Medical Center, Penn State Hershey Cancer Institute, Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition, the Kay Yow Cancer Fund, J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital and Lewistown Hospital.

    The 2014-15 Penn State Lady Lion Basketball season is presented by Kish Travel and Kish Insurance. The Lady Lions are back home against Indiana on Thursday, Jan. 22 at 7 p.m. It is Dollar Dog Night and we will honor our fellow athletic teams with the OneTeam Celebration. Penn State continues its homestand against Northwestern on Sunday for another Subway Full Court 4-Pack game and the postgame team autograph session.
