UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State swimming and diving teams will be home one last time during the 2014-15 season as both the men and the women host Navy in a dual meet scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 24 at 11 a.m. The meet will also act as senior day for both squads as a total of 13 swimmers and divers will compete in their final events at McCoy Natatorium.

Senior ceremonies are scheduled to start on deck at about 10:40 a.m.

Following a long stretch away from home, Penn State returns to McCoy Natatorium for the final time in 2014-15. The Lions have not competed in University Park since their double-dual against Michigan and Virginia which they split with a victory over the Cavaliers and a defeat to the Wolverines. Both of head coach Tim Murphy's teams return to Happy Valley following their duals in New Jersey with Rutgers and Yale, last weekend hosted by the Scarlet Knights.

MEN'S PREVIEW
The Lion men enter their dual with Navy with a 5-3 mark and ranked 26th in the nation by CollegeSwimming.com. They most recently dropped a meet against Yale in Piscataway, N.J., last weekend by a slim 181-172 margin. Penn State was led by the efforts of senior Nate Savoy (Reading, Pa.) who was first in three individual events (100, 200 Back & 200 IM) and swam lead-off on three first place finishing relay teams. For his efforts, Savoy was named Big Ten swimmer of the week for the first time in his career and will be one of eight seniors being honored Saturday. The others are diver T.J. Schenkel (Richboro, Pa.) and swimmers Nick Ankosko (East Brunswick, N.J.), Jonathan Eckstrom (Silver Spring, Md.), Jeff Young (Hershey, Pa.), Kyle Madley (Madison, N.J.), Larry Virgilio (Pine bush, N.Y.) and Ryan Magee (Chestnut Ridge, N.Y.).

WOMEN'S PREVIEW
The Lion women will take on the Mids following a convincing 212-178 win at Rutgers last week, in which they improved to 9-1 on the season. Penn State swept the top spots in all of the freestyle events, led by senior Megan Siverling (Chester Springs, Pa.) who touched first in the 1000 and 500, and posted the the top times in 13 of 17 swimming events. The squad is ranked 17th in the nation in the latest CSCAA poll, and 18th according to CollegeSwimming.com. Joining Siverling in the Class of 2015 are Carolyn Fittin (Sea Girt, N.J.), Meredith Harbison (Butler, Pa.), Caitlyn Karr (Reading, Pa.) and Katelyn Miller (Hershey, Pa.)

SCOUTING NAVY
The Midshipmen enter Saturday's competition with a 6-4 overall record after falling to North Carolina, 169-126 last weekend in Annapolis. It was the Mids' second straight dual loss as they also came up short at Princeton 171-129, Jan. 3. All of Navy's six dual wins have come during the 2014 portion of its 2014-15 schedule.

The Navy women have also won a half-dozen duals this season with a pair of losses. Their second loss on the year also came at the hands of the Tar Heels with a 184-105 defeat last weekend at home. The Mids' only other loss on the season came in their very first meet vs. Georgia Tech (162-130), Oct. 4.

The Penn State men's team is an even 2-2 versus Navy with the pair's first meeting coming back in 1944. This is the fourth straight season both squads have competed in regular season dual meets with the Nittany Lions having won two out of the last three.

The women's squad is a perfect 4-0 versus Navy with the teams' first meeting coming back in 1998. This is the fourth straight season both squads have competed in regular season dual meets with the Nittany Lions hosting the Midshipmen in both 2011-12 and 2012-13.
