Eight Penn State Wrestlers Ranked by Intermat

Jan. 27, 2015 UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State Nittany Lion wrestling team, under the guidance of head coach Cael Sanderson, maintains eight ranked wrestlers as Intermat has released its latest national rankings. Sanderson's team remains ranked No. 7 in Intermat's Tournament Power Index (TPI).

Junior Jordan Conaway (Abbottstown, Pa.) is ranked No. 8 at 125 with a 17-3 record. Sophomore Jimmy Gulibon (Latrobe, Pa.) is ranked No. 9 at 133 with a 15-4 mark. Sophomore Zack Beitz (Mifflintown, Pa.) is 11-6 at 149 and ranked No. 18. Senior Dylan Alton (Mill Hall, Pa.) is ranked No. 8 at 157 and is 8-3 overall.

Senior Matt Brown (West Valley City, Utah) is ranked No. 3 at 174 and is 17-2 on the year. Red-shirt freshman Matt McCutcheon (Apollo, Pa.) is ranked No. 17 at 184 with a 19-8 mark. Junior Morgan McIntosh (Santa Ana, Calif.) is 18-2 at 197 and ranked No. 5. Senior Jimmy Lawson (Toms River, N.J.) is ranked No. 6 at 285 with a 10-0 record.

Penn State is 8-2 overall, 4-2 in Big Ten duals. will once again be on the road Super Bowl weekend, travelling to #15 Michigan (5-3, 3-2 B1G) on Friday, Jan. 30, for a 7 p.m. dual before heading to Michigan State (4-8, 0-5 B1G) for a 2 p.m. meeting on Sunday, Feb. 1, at 2 p.m.

Penn State's next home dual is Feb. 8 when the Lions host Iowa in the BJC at 1 p.m. Tickets are sold out.
