UNIVERSITY PARK, PA. - It's a quick turnaround for the Penn State Lady Lions (3-11, 0-3) as they travel to Wisconsin (5-8, 1-2) for a Big Ten match-up on Tuesday at 9 p.m. (ET). The game will air live on the Big Ten Network with Eric Collins and Shelly Till on the call.

    LAST TIME OUT

  • Penn State outscored Illinois, 49-44, in the second half, but it wasn't enough for the Lady Lions to overcome a 20-point halftime deficit in their 91-76 setback to the Illini on Sunday.
  • Freshman Lindsey Spann and sophomore Sierra Moore each reached double figures in the game, with 20 and 14 points, respectively.
  • For Spann, she has scored 20-plus points in five of her last seven games and also added two steals, four assists and a career-best six rebounds versus the Illini.
  • In addition to her 14 points, Moore finished the game with six rebounds, five assists and two steals.
  • Sophomore Kaliyah Mitchell also reached double figures in the scoring column, with all 11 of her points coming in the second half.

    SCOUTING WISCONSIN

  • The Badgers are 5-8 on the season and 1-2 in Big Ten play. However UW has notable wins over Marquette, Florida and Michigan on the year.
  • Nicole Bauman leads the way for the Badgers with a 13.0 scoring average to go along with 3.8 assists per game and 1.2 steals.
  • Jacki Gulczynski accounts for 8.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per game, while Dakota Whyte adds 8.1 tallies and 3.8 rebounds.
  • Cassie Rochel leads the Badgers in rebounding (6.3 rpg) and blocks (21).

    ALL-TIME VERSUS THE BADGERS

  • The Lady Lions are 29-11 all-time against Wisconsin but are just 9-9 in games played in Madison.
  • Penn State has won four of the last five meetings with the Badgers, including a 78-68 win in the only meeting between the squads last season.
  • PSU is just 2-5 in the last seven games at the Kohl Center.
  • The Lady Lions did not visit Wisconsin last season. In the last game in Madison, the Badgers posted a thrilling 63-61 win on Jan. 31, 2013.

    LAST TIME VERSUS UW

  • The Lady Lions used a 9-0 run late in the second half to post a 78-68 win over Wisconsin in the Eighth Annual Pink Zone at Penn State game in front of 12,585 fans, including 698 breast cancer survivors.
  • Senior guard Maggie Lucas continued her stellar play with a game-high 25 points on 8-of-17 shooting to go along with five rebounds, five assists and a steal.
  • Fellow senior Ariel Edwards posted her third double-double of the season with 16 points to go along with 10 rebounds, including seven on the offensive glass.
  • Dara Taylor also reached double figures with 10 points, four assists and three steals.
  • Junior Tori Waldner also reached double-digits with 10 tallies to go along with four rebounds and two blocks, while senior Talia East, who keyed the Lions' late run, ended with eight points, six rebounds, two blocks and two steals.

    LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT COMBO

  • Lady Lion head coach Coquese Washington has used six different starting lineups in the first 14 games.
  • She has also used a different starting five in each of the three Big Ten contests.
  • Only Lindsey Spann and Sierra Moore are the only players to have started every game for Penn State this season.

    #12 HITS 20 AGAIN

  • Freshman guard Lindsey Spann hit the 20-point mark for the fifth time this season with a 20-point effort against Illinois on Jan. 4.
  • Spann has hit the plateau in five of her last seven games.
  • She has the most 20-point outings for a Penn State freshman since Maggie Lucas had 13 in 2010-11. Kelly Mazzante in second in that category with 10 games with 20 or more points as a rookie.

    The 2014-15 Penn State Lady Lion Basketball season is presented by Kish Travel and Kish Insurance. The Lady Lions return to the BJC to face Rutgers on Saturday at noon. It's another Subway Full Court 4 Pack game where fans get four tickets, four 6" subs and four 21 oz. drinks at a State College Subway for just $40. It's also Penn State Alumni Association Day, fans that present their Alumni Association membership card and receive a $5 ticket.
