UNIVERSTIY PARK, Pa. - Recent Penn State field hockey alumnus Kelsey Amy showed off her artistic talent on the Big Ten Network's Women's Sports Report, which profiled her career as a custom shoe designer.

As a Nittany Lion, Amy was a three-time All-American, two-time Capital One Academic All-American and the 2012 Big Ten Offensive Player of the Year. She was also a back-to-back Big Ten tournament MVP as she helped the Lions to back-to-back conference titles. Amy ended her career ranked third in career goals and career points, while sitting 10th in single-season goals and finishing tied for eighth in single-season points.

Amy earned a degree in fine art while at Penn State and moved to Portland, Oregon, after graduating to pursue her dream of working at Nike. The training from her classes helped her hone her hobby of drawing on shoes, which she began in ninth grade. After she posted photos of some of her works on social media, the requests came pouring in for her to create one-of-a-kind shoes.
