UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - With snow falling outside of Penn State's Recreation Building, the No. 11 Nittany Lion women's gymnastics program piled up scores that helped them to a decisive 196.275-195.200 victory over No. 24 Ohio State on Saturday afternoon.

Penn State wasn't able to post any season-best team scores, but its 196.275 is the third highest team total of the season. They racked up a 49.100 on the uneven bars, their most consistent event of the season, and logged a 49.275 on the floor exercise to close the meet on a strong note in front of the boisterous home crowd.

The all-around crown went to senior Sidney Sanabria-Robles (Caguas, Puerto Rico) with a total of 39.375, who earned the Ann Carr Award for her performance. It is the second all-around win of the season for the senior, who also won the competition at Illinois. She was the only gymnast to score 9.850 or better on three events. She claimed the uneven bars title with a 9.875 and tied for the balance beam crown at 9.850. She finished tied for second on the floor exercise (9.875) and was tied for fifth on the vault (9.775).

Senior Krystal Welsh (Bowie, Md.) finished second in the all-around with her second highest total of the season. Her 39.250 tied her effort from Illinois on Jan. 31 and included two 9.800s and a 9.875 score. The senior spread her finishes out on each event, saving the best for last. She tied for second on the floor exercise (9.875), tied for third on the balance beam (9.800), tied for fourth on the uneven bars (9.800) and tied for fifth on the vault (9.775).

Along with the two seniors, freshman Briannah Tsang (Vancouver, British Columbia) claimed third place in the all-around with a tally of 39.200. Tsang's 9.925 on the floor exercise earned her the event title was the highest overall score in the meet, regardless of event. Her effort on the floor exercise is the highest score for Penn State on the apparatus this season and is Tsang's fifth score of 9.900 or better in 2015. Her event win gives her eight event titles on the season, winning at least one event crown in each of her first six career meets.

As usual in the home meet format, Penn State began on vault, which has been their highest scoring event so far this season. The Blue and White totaled 48.950 on the event to take the lead after the first rotation. Emma Sibson (Allen, Texas) led the way with a 9.825 score to finish second overall, while Lauren Li's (Plano, Texas) 9.800 finished tied for third on the apparatus. Penn State then took the next four spots on the event with Oni Timothy (Rochester, N.Y.), Welsh and Sanabria-Robles all scoring 9.775, and Tsang logging a 9.750.
