UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State Nittany Lion wrestling team, under the guidance of head coach Cael Sanderson, continues with nine wrestlers ranked in the latest version of Intermat's national individual rankings. The Nittany Lions are ranked No. 6 on Intermat's Tournament Power Index (TPI).
Junior Jordan Conaway (Abbottstown, Pa.) is ranked No. 9 at 125 with a 19-5 record. Sophomore Jimmy Gulibon (Latrobe, Pa.) is No. 5 at 133 with a 19-4 mark. Sophomore Zack Beitz (Mifflintown, Pa.) is now ranked No. 14 at 149 with a 14-7 record. Senior Dylan Alton (Mill Hall, Pa.) is ranked No. 10 at 157 and is 8-4 overall. Red-shirt freshman Garett Hammond (Chambersburg, Pa.) is ranked No. 18 at 165 with a 20-9 record.
Senior Matt Brown (West Valley City, Utah) is now ranked No. 2 at 174 and is 21-2 on the year. Red-shirt freshman Matt McCutcheon (Apollo, Pa.) is ranked No. 19 at 184 with a 20-11 mark. Junior Morgan McIntosh (Santa Ana, Calif.) is 22-2 at 197 and is now ranked No. 4. Senior Jimmy Lawson (Toms River, N.J.) is ranked No. 7 at 285 with an 11-1 record.
Penn State is 10-4 overall and closes out the dual meet season at home against Rider this Sunday. A very limited number of standing room only (SRO) tickets are available for the home finale in Rec Hall on Feb. 22 at 2 p.m. Fans can call the Penn State ticket office at 1-800-NITTANY to purchase.
