Penn State Lacrosse to Have Nine Nationally Televised Games This Spring

Big Ten Announces Lacrosse TV Schedules

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -

T he Penn State men's and women's lacrosse programs will appear on national television at least nine times this spring, the Big Ten Conference announced Thursday evening. The women will have four games on Big Ten Network, while the men will have two games on ESPNU and three on BTN.

The nine games on national television showcases Penn State's lacrosse programs on the national stage like never before. Both programs could have additional games air on television should they advance in their respective conference tournaments.

The Nittany Lion women have their first televised game at Rutgers on March 28 at 1 p.m. before a pair of home games on April 4 (vs. Ohio State, 6 p.m.) and April 9 (vs. Michigan, 7 p.m.) are shown live. Penn State's regular-season finale against defending national champion Maryland will also air on BTN on April 23 at 7 p.m.

The Big Ten women's lacrosse tournament at Rutgers will have its semifinals on Friday, May 1 shown on Big Ten Network at 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. respectively. The title game will take place at Noon on ESPN3 with a same-day tape-delayed showing on ESPNU (5 p.m.).

As for the men, the home game vs. Ohio State on March 29 is set for ESPNU at 3 p.m. as is Penn State's trip to Johns Hopkins on April 11 at 6 p.m. An April 4 tilt against Maryland is set for 4 p.m. showing on Big Ten Network, while Penn State's 63rd meeting with Rutgers on April 19 will also be shown on BTN.

The Nittany Lions' regular-season finale at Michigan will be played at 6 p.m. on April 25 That leads into the Big Ten Tournament hosted by Maryland, which will be shown in its entirety on Big Ten Network (April 30-May 2). The semifinals will take place at 5:30 p.m. and 8 p.m., while the championship game will be played at 8 p.m.
