UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Nittany Lion women's lacrosse team travels to Duquesne in a Tuesday matinee in search of its third straight victory. Opening draw is set for 4 p.m. against the Dukes in a game slated to be played at Joe Walton Stadium on the campus of Robert Morris University in Moon Township.

Scheduling Note: Tuesday's game has been moved to Joe Walton Stadium in Moon Township due to unplayable field conditions on Duquesne's campus.

LAST TIME OUT: Penn State 17, Bucknell 2 (Feb. 18)
The 10th-ranked Nittany Lions were dominant from start to finish in a 17-2 victory over Bucknell Wednesday night (Feb. 18) at Holuba Hall. Sisters Steph Lazo (Stevensville, Md.) and Dani Lazo (Stevensville, Md.) combined for nine points to pace the offense.

Penn State (2-0) had 11 different goal scorers and a pair of hat tricks from the younger Lazo, Steph, and senior midfielder Kelly Lechner (Silver Spring, Md.). The elder Lazo, Dani, dished a game-high four assists and added a goal for her five-point day to lead all scorers.

The Nittany Lions received two-goal games from Jess Loizeaux (Mullica Hill, N.J.) and Jenna Mosketti (Fallston, Md.), while Maggie McCormick (Eldersburg, Md.) tallied three assists. Mosketti had a team-high four draw controls as well.

LAZO LEADING THE LIONS
Penn State sophomore Steph Lazo is the team's leader in goals early on with eight. She had a five-goal game against Lehigh and a hat trick against Bucknell last week. In all, Lazo has nine points on the season. Entering 2015, she had only one goal to her name.

BALANCED SCORING
The Nittany Lions have received goals from 12 different sources this season with six providing multiple goals. Joining Lazo in the multi-goal category is Lechner (5), Mosketti (4), Abby Smucker (4, Bel Air, Md.), Tatum Coffey (3, Toms River, N.J.) and Loizeaux (2).

ABOUT THE DUKES
Duquesne (1-0) opened its season last Wednesday in thrilling fashion, downing cross-town rival Robert Morris, 17-16, in overtime at Thiel College. Clare Hurley scored five times, while Amanda Kidder had a six-point game on three goals and three assists to pace the Duquesne offense.

Grad student Taylor Hurwitz earned the win in net coming on in the second half and facing a three-goal deficit. Hurwitz, a fifth-year player by way of the University of New Hampshire, made five saves with six goals allowed in the victory.

Last year's Dukes team had one of its most successful seasons in school history, going 14-4 before falling to eventual champion UMass in the A-10 Tournament. Kidder had a team-high 57 goals, while Hurley posted 39, as the team's returning leading scorers.

THE PENN STATE-DUQUESNE SERIES
The Nittany Lions and Dukes will meet for the third time on Tuesday. Penn State leads the series, 2-0, after a 16-9 last season in Happy Valley and a 16-5 victory in 2012 at Rooney Field.

THIS IS B1G
Penn State is one of six members in the inaugural season for Big Ten women's lacrosse. The Nittany Lions join storied programs such as Maryland and its 12 NCAA titles and Northwestern with its seven championships. When PSU's two NCAA crowns are factored in, the Big Ten is the winningest conference in women's lacrosse.

Joining PSU, Maryland and Northwestern are Ohio State, Rutgers and Michigan in the Big Ten fold. Each team will play the other five members of the conference once. The 2015 Big Ten Tournament is set for April 30-May 3 at Rutgers with all six teams participating.
