Feb. 24, 2015 UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State Nittany Lion wrestling team, under the guidance of head coach Cael Sanderson, continues with eight wrestlers ranked in the latest version of Intermat's national individual rankings. The Nittany Lions are ranked No. 7 on Intermat's Tournament Power Index (TPI).
Junior Jordan Conaway (Abbottstown, Pa.) is ranked No. 10 at 125 with a 20-5 record. Sophomore Jimmy Gulibon (Latrobe, Pa.) is No. 6 at 133 with a 20-4 mark. Sophomore Zack Beitz (Mifflintown, Pa.) is now ranked No. 14 at 149 with a 15-7 record. Senior Dylan Alton (Mill Hall, Pa.) is ranked No. 10 at 157 and is 8-4 overall. Red-shirt freshman Garett Hammond (Chambersburg, Pa.) is ranked No. 17 at 165 with a 21-9 record.
Senior Matt Brown (West Valley City, Utah) is now ranked No. 2 at 174 and is 22-2 on the year. Junior Morgan McIntosh (Santa Ana, Calif.) is 23-2 at 197 and is ranked No. 4. Senior Jimmy Lawson (Toms River, N.J.) is ranked No. 7 at 285 with a 12-1 record.
Penn State concluded its dual meet season with an 11-4 record and is now prepping for the 2015 Big Ten Wrestling Championships. The Nittany Lions, winners of the last four Big Ten titles, will take part in the two day event on Saturday and Sunday, March 7-8, in Columbus, Ohio.
