ORLANDO, Fla. - The Penn State softball team's originally scheduled double header with No. 8 Georgia and Nebraska-Omaha has been cancelled due to incessant rain in the Orlando area.
The Nittany Lions (7-8) were originally set to take on the Mavericks at 11 a.m. inside ESPN's Wide World of Sports and then the Bulldogs at 1:15 p.m.
Start times for those two contests were pushed back to 8:30 p.m. and 4 p.m. respectively before being called entirely due to the inclement weather.
PSU split its first double header of the Citrus Classic on Friday, downing Fordham 6-1 before falling to No. 20 Missouri 11-7 in eight innings.
As of now had coach Amanda Lehotak's squad is scheduled to close out the tournament with James Madison at 12:15 p.m., Sunday.
