HUNTINGTON, W. VA.- The Penn State women's tennis team fell in a hard fought match to No. 73 Utah 4-2 on Sunday. Victoria Kisialeva (Toronto, Canada) and Dasha Sapogova (Minsk, Belarus) put the Nittany Lions on the board with their singles victories. Kisialeva defeated Sarah Richter 6-4, 5-7, 6-1 while Sapogova tallied a straight sets victory over Luisa Gerstner Da Rosa.

Kim Surin (Montreal, Canada) took Jena Cheng to three sets, but fell 6-3 in the third and final set. Katia Blik (Moscow, Russia) was defeated by the 53rd ranked Tereza Bekerova 6-3, 7-5.

Utah won two of the three doubles matches as they jumped out to an early 1-0 lead. No. 31 Tereza Bekerova and Margo Pletcher defeated No. 51 Victoria Kisialeva and Dasha Sapogova 8-5. Sarah Richter and Jena Cheng slipped by McCluskey and Surin 8-2. Jackie Zuhse (Boca Raton, Fla.) and Katherine Whiteaway recorded their first victory of the season as they beat Luisa Gerstner Da Rosa and Elena Najera-Salas 8-2.
