Nittany Lions Set for Three-Day Seminole Intercollegiate

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State men's golf team will take on a 17-team field at the Seminole Intercollegiate March 13-15 at the Southwood Golf Course in Tallahassee, Fla.

Florida State will host the Blue and White along with Cincinnati, East Tennessee State, Florida, George Washington, Georga Tech, Illinois State, Jacksonville, James Madison, Louisville, South Carolina, USF, Troy, Virginia, Western Kentucky and defending 2014 champion Mercer.

Penn State will start senior Jens Talbert (Little Rock, Ark.), junior JD Dornes (Lancaster, Pa.), sophomores Cody Cox (Milford, Pa.) and Christian Elliott (Port Perry, Ontario), and freshman Cole Miller (New Tripoli, Pa.). Junior Geoff Vartelas will add to the Nittany Lions' presence by playing as an individual.

The team will tee off for the first round of the Seminole Intercollegiate at 8:30 a.m. on Friday morning, followed by an 8:30 a.m. second round start Saturday and an 8:00 a.m. final round start Sunday.
