Nittany Lion Women's GolfCompete in Briar's Creek Invitational

UNIVERSITY PARK, PA - The Penn State women's golf team will take the course again Monday for the first time since the Gator Invitational on March 8when theycompete in the Briar's Creek Invitational hosted by the College of Charleston.The two-day, three-round event will be held at the Golf Club at Briar's Creek in Johns Island, South Carolina, a 6,101-yard course with a par of 72.

Penn State will play alongside 16 other schools including: Boston College, Campbell, Chattanooga, Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, East Carolina, East Tennessee State, Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Kent State, Maryland, Miami, Michigan State, South Florida and Texas Tech.

Senior Ellen Ceresko (Jefferson Township, Pa.) will lead the Nittany Lions for her third tournament since returning from injury and fellow Senior Katlyn Elliott (Peterborough, Ontario) will also be in the lineup for the Nittany Lions. Senior Catherine Herrera (Houston, Texas) and Junior Elyse Archambault (St-Jean-sur-Rich, Quebec) will look to add to their impressive performances at the Gator Invitational where they both finished tied for 53rd. Junior Grace Chung (Toronto, Ontario) will round out the team and Senior Erin Michel (Mason, Ohio) will compete as an individual.

The tournament will commence Monday with an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start and will include a 36-hole day
