UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The rescheduled softball doubleheader this Wednesday between Penn State and Ohio State has been postponed for the following Wednesday, Apr. 15 due to rainy conditions forecasted for the region over the next few days.
The two game set was originally scheduled to be played Tuesday at Nittany Lion Softball park and Beard Field but was pushed back a day in hopes of better playing conditions. Instead the twin bill will commence a week later with the first game set for a 5:30 p.m., first pitch and the second game to take place at approximately 7:30 p.m.
PSU was initially scheduled to play intrastate rival Pittsburgh Apr. 15 in the steel city but that contest has now been moved to Tuesday, Apr. 28 with a 6 p.m. start time.
The Nittany Lions (21-17, 4-5) next welcome in the Indiana Hoosiers for a three game set in Happy Valley, starting Friday night, Apr. 10 and continuing with single games throughout the weekend.
Anyone with tickets to the rescheduled Ohio State doubleheader can still redeem them for the make-up Apr. 15 date or for any future home softball game this season.
