COLUMBUS, OHIO - The Penn State men's golf team will head into the final round of the Kepler Intercollegiate in seventh place with a two-round 584 (294-290) team tally.
Junior JD Dornes (Lancaster, Pa.) leads the Blue and White at the Scarlet Course after notching a 1-under 141 (70-71) score through 36 holes, standing tied-for-fifth overall. Freshman Cole Miller (New Tripoli, Pa.) is tied for 20th after carding a 145 (75-70) on the day.
Sophomore Christian Elliott (Port Perry, Ontario) shot 149 strokes and is tied for 41st, while senior Jens Talbert (Little Rock, Ark.) trails just behind Elliott with a 150. Junior Geoff Vartelas (Cromwell, Conn.) rounds out the Penn State lineup with a 155 going into the last 18 holes.
Georgia Tech leads the 14-team field with a 6-under 562 team total. Ollie Schniederjans sits atop the individual leaderboard for Georgia Tech, as well, with a 5-under 137.
