Penn State Women's Golf Heads to Bryan Park Intercollegiate

University Park, Pa. - The Penn State women's golf team travels to Greensboro, North Carolina to participate in the Bryan Park Intercollegiate beginning Friday, April 3. The three-day event is a familiar one for the Nittany Lions, who placed in a tie for 10th last year behind a 12th place individual effort from Ellen Ceresko (Jefferson Township, Pa.).

The Bryan Park Champions Course plays at a distance of 6,386 yards with a par of 72.

Penn State will begin their opening round at 8:20 a.m. Friday.

Joining the Nittany Lions in the 18-team tournament are: Virginia, Northwestern, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Notre Dame, North Carolina, Auburn, GRU-Augusta, UNC Wilmington, Louisville, Michigan State, Florida, Florida State, College of Charleston, NC State and co-hosts UNCG and Wake Forest.

Seniors Ellen Ceresko and Katlyn Elliott (Peterborough, Ontario) will look to build off their impressive performances at the Briar's Creek Invitational where they placed tied for sixth and tied for 34th, respectively. Junior Elyse Archambault (St-Jean-sur-Rich, Quebec) has made herself a staple in the Penn State starting lineup as she competes in her fourth tournament of the spring semester. Fellow juniors Grace Chung (Toronto, Ontario) and Halley Morell (Brecksville, Ohio) will also play for the Nittany Lions this weekend.

The Bryan Park Intercollegiate is the Nittany Lions final event before playing in the Big Ten Championships, which will take place from Friday, April 24-26.
