INIDANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Penn State women's golf team completed the second round of the Big Ten Championships Saturday afternoon. The Nittany Lions are tied for 11th heading into the third and final round ended the round with a 17-over 305 on the day to bring their tournament total to 608 (+32). The Big Ten Championship resumes tomorrow at 8 a.m. with Penn State will teeing off at 8:20 a.m.

Junior Halley Morell (Brecksville, Ohio) led the way for the Lions, firing a 2-over 74 to sit in a tie for 63rd after two rounds with an 11-over 155 (83-74). Junior Grace Chung (Toronto, Ontario) who carded a 3-over 75 to stay in contention with the top players as she sits in a tie for 17th place at 4-over for the tournament (73-75-148).

Seniors Elyse Archambault (St-Jean-sur-Rich, Que.), Katlyn Elliott (Peterborough, Ontario), and Ellen Ceresko (Jefferson Township, Pa.) all played consistently on the day, finishing with a 77 (+5), 79 (+7), and 80 (+8), respectively. Sophomore Kendall Allen (Pittsburgh, Pa.) shot a 7-over (79) on the day.

Ohio State grabbed a commanding lead as the Buckeyes sit at 3-under par (573) to lead the field by five strokes. Individually, Juliet Vongphoumy of Maryland and Jan Chanpalangsri are tied for the overall lead a 3-under for the tournament.
