PENN STATE TO HONOR NINE SENIOR NITTANY LIONS
Saturday is Senior Day for nine Nittany Lions who have dedicated countless hours on the field and in the classroom: Natalia Angelo, Kristin Brent, Tatum Coffey, Haley Ford, Cat Layne, Dani Lazo, Kelly Lechner, Jess Loizeaux and Maggie McCormick.

LAST TIME OUT: No. 15 Penn State 15, Rutgers 8 (March 28)
The 15th-ranked Penn State women's lacrosse team ran away from Rutgers in the teams' Big Ten opener in a 15-8 victory on Saturday at High Point Solutions Stadium. Three Nittany Lions tallied hat tricks, led by Tatum Coffey (Toms River, N.J.) and her five points.

The Nittany Lions (8-3, 1-0 Big Ten) raced out to a10-4 halftime advantage, stretched the lead to 10 and coasted to a comfortable victory over Rutgers (1-10, 0-1 Big Ten). Penn State has won all 16 meetings with the Scarlet Knights.

Coffey tallied three goals and two assists, while teammates Maggie McCormick (Eldersburg, Md.) and Katie O'Donnell (West Chester, Pa.) each registered hat tricks. McCormick dished an assist to stretch her school-leading mark to 118 all-time.

Steph Lazo (Stevensville, Md.) tossed in three points on two goals and an assist and four other Lions tallied goals on the day. Goalkeeper Emi Smith (Denver, Colo.) made eight saves for the win.

COFFEY TABBED BIG TEN CO-OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Senior midfielder Tatum Coffey (Toms River, N.J.) was named Big Ten Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday afternoon by the league office.

For Coffey, the honor is her first Big Ten weekly accolade and the third for the Penn State roster this season. Coffey tallied nine points on six goals and three assists during a 2-0 week against No. 9 Stanford (17-15) and Rutgers (15-8). Coffey connected on all six of her shots, collected four ground balls and caused four turnovers.

Against No. 9 Stanford, Coffey scored three goals and an assist, where Penn State came back from five goals down in the second half to win. Coffey's two-way play aided in the tremendous comeback, as she caused four turnovers and scooped up four ground balls in the upset victory. Two of Coffey's three goals came in the deciding 10-3 run to end the game.

In PSU's inaugural Big Ten game, the New Jersey native was again perfect from the field, scoring on all three of her shot attempts, while pitching in with two assists. Coffey's back-to-back goals to open the second half sealed PSU's win by giving the Nittany Lions an eight-goal cushion. Coffey was a part of five of Penn State's first 12 goals.

MCCORMICK RISES IN THE RECORD BOOKS
Maggie McCormick is the current Penn State record holder for assists (118) and has risen to fourth in all-time points (236). Her point total is the most by a Nittany Lion in a single career since Tami Worley registered 289 in 1986-89. McCormick (118 goals) needs two goals to crack the top 15 goals chart.

BALANCED SCORING
The Nittany Lions have received goals from 14 different sources this season with seven different double-digit scorers in all. Steph Lazo (21) leads the bunch followed by Tatum Coffey (20), Madison Cyr (20), Maggie McCormick (18), Jenna Mosketti (16), Kelly Lechner (15) and Katie O'Donnell (13).

Two Nittany Lions are on the cusp of 10 goals: Jess Loizeaux (9) and Abby Smucker (9).

LAZO LEADING THE LIONS
Despite missing two games with injury, Penn State sophomore Steph Lazo is the team's leader in goals with 21.

Lazo had a five-goal game against Lehigh and a hat trick against Bucknell before scoring two vs. Duquesne. She found the back of the net once more against Virginia in February and added another hat trick vs. Loyola on March 7. Lazo's hat trick against Stanford was her fifth game with three or more goals before she added two more tallied at Rutgers.

In all, Lazo has 24 points on the season, second to Maggie McCormick (42, 18-24). Entering 2015, Lazo had only one goal to her name.

CYR, MCCORMICK NAMED TO TEWAARATON AWARD WATCH LIST
Senior Maggie McCormick (Eldersburg, Md.) and junior Madison Cyr (Westminster, Md.) were named as two of 50 women's lacrosse players to the Tewaaraton Award Watch List on Thursday night, Feb. 26. The Tewaaraton Award, presented by Under Armour, honors the best men's and women's collegiate lacrosse player.

This is the fifth straight season the Nittany Lions have had a representative on the preseason watch list. Potential additions to the watch list will be announced March 19 and April 9 before the first cutdown to 25 players on April 23.
