GREENSBORO, N.C. - The Penn State women's golf team wrapped up the first round of the Bryan Park Intercollegiate. The Nittany Lions are currently in 16th place, shooting a 314 (+26) on the day as a team. Penn State is back on the course for the second round tomorrow beginning with a 9:50 tee time.
Seniors Ellen Ceresko (Jefferson Township, Pa.), Katlyn Elliott (Peterborough, Ontario) and junior Grace Chung (Toronto, Ontario) led the team with six-over par 78s. To make it even more interesting, all three players also finished with a (+3) 39 on both their front and back nines. The trio sits in a tie for 42nd place after the first round. Junior Halley Morell (Brecksville, Ohio) fired an eight-over par 80. Junior Elyse Archambault (St-Jean-sur-Rich,Que.) rounded out the side with a 15-over 87.
Virginia leads the event, shooting a nine-over 297 on the first day. Individually, Allison Emrey of Wake Forest leads after carding a 69 (-3).
