Former Nittany Lions Ready for IAAF World Relays

UNVIERSTIY PARK, Pa. --
Three Nittany Lion school record holders are set to compete this weekend at the second annual IAAF World Relays. Shana Cox, Fawn Dorr and Casimir Loxsom will be representing their respective countries at the two-day meet in Nassau, Bahamas.

Cox (Great Britain) and Dorr (Canada) are slated to run in the women's 4x400-meter relay, while Loxsom (United States) is scheduled to run in the men's 4x800-meter relay.

The prelims of the women's 4x400-meter relay is scheduled for Saturday at 8:32 p.m. (EDT) and the finals of the women's 4x400-meter relay will take place Sunday at 8:12 p.m. (EDT) The men's 4x800-meter relay will be run Saturday at 8:09 p.m. (EDT)

Cox, an 11-time NCAA All-American, captured two NCAA titles at the 2008 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships (400-meter dash and the 4x400-meter relay). She currently holds three individual school records and is a member of two school record relays.

Dorr is a three-time All-American, two-time Big Ten champion and the school record holder in the 400-meter hurdles.

Cox and Dorr were both members of the Nittany Lion squad that recorded a fourth-place finish at 2008 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Dorr was also a member of the 2010 fourth-place Penn State track & field team.

Loxsom is a six-time All-American, six-time Big Ten champion, and current nine-time school record holder. This past March Loxsom broke his own American record in the 600-meter run (1:15.33) en route to his first U.S. title.
