PERRY, N.Y.; May 21, 2015 - Penn State men's lacrosse rising senior TJ Sanders (Orillia, Ontario) was named a United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) All-America honorable mention, the organization announced Thursday.

This is the first All-America honor of Sanders' career. The Nittany Lions have had at least one USILA All-America honorable mention since 2005.

During the year, Sanders was Penn State's biggest offensive threat. He led the Nittany Lions with 27 goals and 12 assists for 39 points, ranking in the team's top two in scoring for the third straight season. The 2015 All-Big Ten honorable mention honoree finished the regular season sitting fifth in the Big Ten with 2.08 goals per game, tied for sixth with three points per game and tied for ninth with 0.92 assists per game. In 2015, Sanders scored multiple goals nine times and recorded at least one point in every contest, surpassing his career-high in assists (13). He became the third junior Nittany Lion since 2009 to score 100-or-more points (117) this season, alongside current Major Lacrosse League players Shane Sturgis (108) and Matt Mackrides (102).

In 2015, the first year of Big Ten Lacrosse, the Blue and White was one of four teams to earn a berth to the Big Ten Tournament with two-straight conference wins to end the regular season. Penn State finished the season with a 5-9 record.
