UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - It's a big summer for women's soccer, and the Nittany Lion women's soccer program will be well represented at the FIFA Women's World Cup Canada 2015.
In all four Nittany Lion alums and one current player are set to compete on three different teams in the World Cup, which begins on Saturday. Senior Raquel Rodriguez will make her debut in the World Cup with Costa Rica, which qualified for the first time. Former Nittany Lion standouts Alie Krieger (defender) and Alyssa Naeher (goalkeeper) will play for the United States and Erin McLeod (goalkeeper) and Carmelina Moscato (defender) will play for Canada.
