2015 Promotional Schedule
UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The No. 6 Penn State women's soccer team has announced the 2015 home promotion schedule, which begins on Friday, Aug. 21 as Penn State hosts Hofstra in a 7:30 p.m. match. The Nittany Lions are slated to host nine regular season contests this fall.
Admission and parking for all women's soccer events are free. Fans are reminded that there is a no bag policy in place on stadium grounds.
The Penn State women's soccer team opens the 2015 season next Friday, Aug. 21 as they take on Hofstra at 7:30 p.m. The match against Hofstra will feature free pizza for students, t-shirts for the Park Ave. Army and fans will be able to pick up a copy of the 2015 team poster.
The Nittany Lions return to Jeffrey Field later in the weekend against Loyola Marymount on Sunday, Aug. 23 at 12 p.m. Every Sunday at Jeffrey Field features a station for fans to create tye-dye shirts and signs before the match and following the match against Loyola Marymount, the team will be hosting an autograph session.
The following Friday, Aug. 28 (8 p.m.), Penn State is slated to host Duke on "Rocky Night." While supplies last, fans will be able to pick up a commemorative Raquel "Rocky" Rodriguez poster. The Penn State women's soccer team will also celebrate "Penn United Night" by recognizing Penn United, a local youth soccer group.
Penn State closes out the non-conference portion of the 2015 home slate as they host Arkansas on Sunday, Aug. 30 at 6 p.m. As in the case for every Sunday Fun Day, fans will be able to create tie-dye shirts and signs and also partake in a post-match autograph session.
Following a two-week road trip, the Nittany Lions return home to Jeffrey Field as they open the Big Ten campaign live on the Big Ten Network against Wisconsin on Sept. 17 at 7 p.m. The match against the Badgers will be a whiteout. All fans are encouraged to wear white and while supplies last, fans will receive a Penn State women's soccer t-shirt.
The Nittany Lions will close out the weekend with Minnesota on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 12 p.m. Fans will be able to purchase hot dogs for $1, partake in Sunday Fun Day and attend a post-match autograph session.
Penn State returns home on Thursday, Oct. 8 as they host Maryland at 7 p.m. The Thursday night matchup features international student night and fans will be able to pick up a Penn State women's soccer scarf (while supplies last).
The final Sunday Fun Day is set for Sunday, Oct. 11 as Penn State hosts Indiana at 1 p.m. Following the match against the Hoosiers, Penn State will celebrate the careers of the five Nittany Lion seniors and will host the final post-match autograph session of the 2015 season.
The 2015 regular season comes to a close with Penn State hosting Michigan on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 7:30 p.m. Penn State's match against Michigan will be the annual Pink Game. All donations and proceeds will be donated to the Pennsylvania Pink Zone at Mount Nittany Medical Center for breast cancer research.
