Nittany Lions Announce Challenging Fall Slate

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State women's lacrosse team announced its fall schedule Tuesday afternoon, highlighted by eight games against seven NCAA Tournament opponents. Also on the schedule is a contest against the U.S. National Team. The Nittany Lions will face all four 2015 national semifinalists.

The defending Big Ten Tournament champions will play in four tournaments beginning with a trip to the University of Maryland on Sunday, Oct. 4. There, the Lions will face ACC foes Duke (11 a.m.) and Notre Dame (1 p.m.) before facing fellow Big Ten rival and defending national champion Maryland (2 p.m.).

The next week, Penn State travels to Annapolis, Maryland to take on Team USA (9 a.m.) and Louisville (11 a.m.) at the Naval Academy.

On Oct. 17, the Nittany Lions take part in Princeton's Fall Invitational, playing the host Tigers (Noon), Syracuse (1 p.m.) and Hofstra (3 p.m.).

The final set of fall ball tournaments will be hosted in Happy Valley with Temple, Stony Brook and Syracuse. The Lions play Stony Brook (11:15 p.m.) and Temple (12:30 p.m.) at Penn State Lacrosse Field before transitioning indoors to face the Orange (2 p.m.) at Holuba Hall.
