The 2015 Penn State Football "Ironman of the Game" is presented by Iron Workers Local Union No. 3, Building Beaver Stadium- Where Penn State Football Legends are made.

MICHIGAN vs. PENN STATE

Brandon Bell has been named the Ironman of the Game for his performance in this season's home finale against Michigan.

Bell made five tackles in the game including one TFL. His efforts include one sack and one forced fumble that he recovered. Bell's relentless effort included one interception in which he ran for 25 yards to the Michigan 40. The interception marked his first of the season and second of his career.

PENN STATE vs. NORTHWESTERN

Defensive End Carl Nassib has been named this week's Iron Workers Local Union No. 3 "Ironman of the Game" for his dominant performance in the Northwestern game.

He broke the Penn State single season sack record with a solo sack early in the fourth quarter, giving him 15.5 sacks this season. Nassib forced his sixth fumble of the season, the most forced by a Penn Stater since Michael Haynes forced seven in 2002. The defensive end concluded the game with 4 solo tackles and one sack.

Nassib is one of 10 semifinalists for the Burlsworth Trophy. He totals 46 tackles on the season including 19.5 TFLs, 15.5 sacks and 16 forced fumbles.

ILLINOIS vs. PENN STATE

Quarterback Christian Hackenberg (Palmyra, Va.) threw for two touchdowns and caught another as the Nittany Lions cruised to a 39-0 victory. Hackenberg set a Penn State record with his 19th career 200-plus yard passing game, totaling 266 yards after completing 21-of-29 passing attempts. He also caught a 14-yard touchdown pass. Hackenberg is the first Penn State quarterback with a touchdown catch since Zack Mills against Akron in 2004. In his last six games, Hackenberg has 12 touchdown passes, one touchdown reception, no interceptions and four games with at least 250 yards passing.

PENN STATE vs. MARYLAND

Christian Hackenberg has been dubbed the Iron Workers Local Union No. 3 "Ironman of the Game" for his commanding performance in the 31-30 win against Maryland.

The junior quarterback threw for 315 yards and three touchdowns in M&T Bank Stadium. He became the school leader in completions and yard passing recording 608 and 7,452, respectively. He surpassed Zach Mills in both categories.

PENN STATE vs. OHIO STATE

The Iron Workers Local Union No. 3 "Ironman of the Game" in week seven has been voted Chris Godwin (Middletown, Del.) for his persistent efforts in the road contest at Ohio State.

The wide receiver caught three passes for 103 yards for his second career 100-yard receiving game (141 vs. Boston College, 2014). He caught a season-long 56-yard pass from Hackenberg in the third quarter. Godwin leads Penn State with 493 receiving yards on the season.


INDIANA vs. PENN STATE

This week's Iron Workers Local Union No. 3 "Ironman of the Game" has been voted Christian Hackenberg (Palmyra, Va.) for his relentless performance against Indiana.

Hackenberg accounted for all four touchdowns and became the second in school history to surpass 7,000 career passing yards, as he lead the Nittany Lions past Indiana, 29-7, in Big Ten football action on a sunny Saturday afternoon in Beaver Stadium. Hackenberg used both his arm and his legs to move the ball downfield. He completed 21-of-339 passing attempts for 262 yards and two touchdowns, while setting career-highs rushing with two more touchdowns, 21 yards and a career-best 22-yard run.

ARMY vs. PENN STATE

Jason Cabinda (Flemington, N.J.) is honored as the Iron Workers Local Union No. 3 "Ironman of the Game" for his performance in the win over Army.

The linebacker made a career-high 14 tackles and forced a fumble. Cabinda made two sacks also secured the victory with a sack on 4th-and-5 in Penn State territory in the game's final two minutes.




SAN DIEGO STATE vs. PENN STATE

Anthony Zettel (West Branch, Mich.) has been named the Iron Workers Local Union No. 3 "Ironman of the Game" for his stellar performance in the 37-21 win over San Diego State.

The defensive tackle led the unit with a career-high seven tackles, including a team-best 2.5 for loss and a half sack. He also recovered a fumble that led to a touchdown and broke up one pass.



RUTGERS vs. PENN STATE

This week's Iron Workers Local Union No. 3 "Ironman of the Game" is Saquon Barkley (Coplay, Pa.) for his ruthless performance in the Big Ten opener

Freshman running back Saquon Barkley rushed for 195 yards and two touchdowns to lead Penn State past Rutgers, 28-3. Barkley posted his second consecutive game of more than 100 yards, finding the end zone twice and totaling his season-high 195 yards on 21 carries, the most yards for a PSU true freshman rusher since 1998 and the most for any PSU rusher since Bill Belton totaled 201 in 2013. Barkley was particularly strong in the second half, totaling 140 yards and a touchdown on 11 rushes.

BUFFALO vs. PENN STATE

Saquon Barkley (Coplay, Pa.) was voted the Iron Workers Local Union No. 3 "Ironman of the Game" In the 27-14 win over Buffalo.

The true freshman running back totaled 115 yards on 12 attempts with a touchdown. He is the first PSU true freshman to rush for more than 100 yards in a game since Silas Redd had 131 yards on 11 carries and scored one touchdown against Northwestern in 2010. Barkley broke off back-to-back runs totaling 50 yards to start Penn State's first possession of the fourth quarter, which led to a touchdown and 20-7 Penn State lead. He also found the end zone with 9:02 remaining in the contest from nine yards out for a 27-7 lead.

PENN STATE vs. TEMPLE

Carl Nassib was voted the Iron Workers Local Union No. 3 "Ironman of the Game" for his performance against Temple. Nassib received the most fan votes of the four nominees this week.

Nassib earned his first starting position in the season opener. He dominated the field recording a career-high ten tackles against Temple. His previous high was 4 stops on October 5, 2013 at Indiana. The defensive end also recorded 2.5 for loss and one sack.
