Penn State-Indiana Game to Air on ESPN2

Oct. 4, 2015

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Saturday's Homecoming game against Indiana will air on ESPN2 at noon. Beth Mowins, Anthony Becht, & Paul Carcaterra will be calling the action.

Penn State and Indiana have squared off every year since 2007 in Big Ten games. The Nittany Lions are 17-1 all-time against the Hoosiers, including a perfect 8-0 mark in home games. The teams first met in Beaver Stadium in 1993 with Penn State claiming a 38-31 win.

A stout defensive effort led the Nittany Lions past the Hoosiers, 13-7, last season. Bill Belton provided the offensive spark with 92-yard touchdown run and Sam Ficken converted on a pair of field goals. Nyeem Wartman-White and Mike Hull each tallied seven tackles to pace a defense that limited the then-nation's leading rusher (162.5 avg.) and Doak Walker Award finalist, Tevin Coleman, to just 71 yards on 20 carries. The Nittany Lions shut out the Indiana offense as the Hoosiers scored their fewest points at home since 2006 via a defensive touchdown.

Penn State has won its last four games to move to 4-1 on the season. The Nittany Lions are 4-0 at home for the first time since 2008. Jason Cabinda had a career-high 14 tackles with two sacks and a forced fumble to lead the defensive effort in the 20-14 win over Army. Carl Nassib has excelled in his senior season, ranking second in the country in sacks with 1.6 per game and fifth in forced fumbles (3) and tackles for loss (2.0). Quarterback Christian Hackenberg continues to advance into elite territory among Penn State passers as he now ranks second in Penn State history with 6,756 passing yards.
