UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa.; November 11, 2015 -- Penn State fans planning to attend any of this weekend's nine home events are encouraged to arrive on campus early in order to assist traffic flow and parking.
On Friday, Nov. 13, Penn State will be hosting five events starting from 5-7 p.m., with three of the competitions in close proximity to each other. On Saturday, the Nittany Lions will be hosting three events in the morning and afternoon, including two across the street from each other. There is one home competition on Sunday.
This weekend's home events include the season openers for men's and women's basketball and wrestling and the NCAA first round match for the No. 1 seeded women's soccer team.
More detailed parking and ticket information is listed below. Penn State Police will be directing vehicular and pedestrian traffic prior to, and after the events this weekend.
FRIDAY, NOV. 13 TRAFFIC & PARKING INFORMATION
Penn State will be hosting five home events Friday starting from 5-7 p.m., with three in close proximity to each other, in addition to the normal egress of Penn State faculty and staff leaving campus. Fans are encouraged to set aside extra time to arrive at the event parking lots.
Faculty, Staff & Students: Penn State parking permit holders will be able to park for free in the Jordan Center East and Stadium West lots and the East Parking Deck for all events this weekend.
Men's and Women's Swimming & Diving vs. UConn and Princeton, McCoy Natatorium (5 p.m.): Swimming and diving fans should plan to park in the East Parking Deck located on Bigler Road. A $1 per hour fee will be in effect for non-parking permit holders for Friday's meet.
Women's Basketball vs. Holy Cross, Bryce Jordan Center (6 p.m.): Parking will be available in the Jordan East and Stadium West lots with a $5 fee for non-parking permit holders.
The Lady Lions also are home on Sunday, Nov. 15 vs. Fordham at 2 p.m.
The Bryce Jordan Center Ticket Office opens Friday at 10 a.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m. (one hour before tipoff).
Women's Soccer vs. UAlbany, NCAA Tournament first round, Jeffrey Field (6:30 p.m.): Fans should utilize the Stadium West entrance off Park Avenue and identify themselves as women's soccer fans to the attendant. Parking will be available in the paved lot as well as the grass lots south of Jeffrey Field.
Advance tickets are on sale at the Bryce Jordan Center Ticket Office (10 a.m.-6 p.m.) and Friday at Jeffrey Field starting at 5:30 p.m.
Men's Hockey vs. Sacred Heart, Pegula Ice Arena (7 p.m.): Premium ticket holders will retain their priority parking. All other patrons should utilize the Jordan East and Stadium West lots with a $5 fee for non-parking permit holders.
The Pegula Ice Arena ticket office opens 90 minutes before all games.
Wrestling vs. Lock Haven, Rec Hall (7 p.m.): Wrestling fans will have the same parking options as in previous seasons with the Nittany Parking Deck, as well as the Red A lots off North Atherton Street. Parking will be free for all wrestling fans in these lots.
The Rec Hall ticket office opens one hour before all matches.
SATURDAY, NOV. 14 TRAFFIC & PARKING INFORMATION
Penn State will host three events on Saturday morning and afternoon. Fans are encouraged to set aside extra time to arrive at the event parking lots.
Faculty, Staff & Students: Penn State parking permit holders will be able to park for free in the Bryce Jordan East and Stadium West lots and the East Parking Deck for all events this weekend.
