UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. -- The Penn State fencing team heads to Kansas City, Mo. tomorrow to begin competition at the North American Cup. The Nittany Lions will be competing on three of the four days of the tournament.
This is the second of three North American Cups that Penn State will participate in this season.
The tournament begins at 2 p.m. on Friday with the men's epee event.
Sunday's competition will be split between men's foil and women's sabre. The men will kick things off at 8 a.m., and the women will start at 2 p.m.
The tournament will finish Monday with men's sabre, beginning at 8 a.m.
The Penn State fencers will be competing as followed:
FRIDAY: Men's Epee
Freshmen Joshua Cole (Chappaqua, N.Y.) and Anton Piskovatskov (Houston, Texas)
SUNDAY: Men's Foil / Women's Sabre
Sophomores Stephen Barnett (Clinton, Conn.) and Kathryn Charpin (Setauket, N.Y.) and freshmen Richard Cho (Seoul, South Korea), Julian Fevry (St. Albans, N.Y.) and Ethan Gumagay (Vienna, Va.)
MONDAY: Men's Sabre
Freshmen Bradley Devito (Ridgefield, Conn.), Marcel Dolegiewicz (Park Ridge, Ill.) and Gavin Turner (Rehoboth, Mass.)
