UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - The Penn State swimming and diving teams will host Princeton and Connecticut in a three-session invitational meet Friday and Saturday in McCoy Natatorium. The action will begin Friday at 5 p.m., continue Saturday at 9 a.m. and conclude with the final session starting at 3 p.m.
Parking
It will be a busy weekend for Penn State athletics with several teams at home competing this weekend. Swimming and diving fans should plan to park in the East Parking Deck located on Bigler Road. A $1 per hour fee will be in effect for non-parking permit holders for Friday's meet, while parking will be free on Saturday.

The Nittany Lions
Penn State will compete in its first invitational scored meet of the season after competing in dual meets for its first three competitions. The women posted a 4-2 record while the men went 1-4.
The women are ranked No. 13 by CollegeSwimming.com and No. 15 in the coaches poll. Melissa Rodriguez leads the team with NCAA 'B' cut times in the 100 and 200 breaststrokes. Her 100 time of (1:02.19) currently ranks 18th nationally, and her 200 time (2:13.18) ranks 13th. Other notable performances include Monika Gonzalez-Hermosillo, who owns a 'B'-cut in the 400 individual medley of 4:17.83, which ranks 12th in the country. Additionally, Katie Saloky, ranks 24th in the 50 freestyle (23.03), Katie Rowe ranks 21st in the 200 butterfly (1:59.72) and 31st in the 400 individual medley (4:21.85) and Haley Sinatro ranks 27th in the 200 individual medley (2:02.09).
The Lion men saw their second freshman earn Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors following their last outing, as diver Hector Garcia Boissier (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain) earned the honor. He placed second to teammate Logan Knauss (Audubon, Pa.) in the 1-meter dive with a score of 283.75, and then placed second again Sunday in the 3-meter with a season-best and NCAA Zone Regional qualifying score of 340.85. Garcia is the second Nittany Lion to receive the Big Ten's weekly freshman accolade this season. Classmate Rory Lewis (Kensington, Md.) earned the same honor following the inaugural week of competition, Oct. 7.
The Opponents
The invitational meet will include Princeton and UConn. Both the Princeton men's and women's teams are coming off Ivy League championships. This will be their first official meet after competing in three scrimmages in October. UConn has competed in one dual meet with the men defeating Villanova, while the women lost to Villanova.
Next Up
Penn State will send split squads to the Georgia Invitational hosted by the University of Georgia and the Big Al Invitational hosted by Princeton Dec. 4-6.
