UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. â€" The top-ranked Nittany Lion wrestling team has reached the best month in the sport.
The Big Ten and NCAA wrestling champions will be decided in the next three weeks. First, the 14 wrestling teams representing the Big Ten will congregate in Iowa City on Saturday for the 2016 Big Ten Championships. The two-day tournament will crown the 10 individual Big Ten champs and the team champ in Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Action begins on Saturday at 10 a.m. CT on Saturday. Leading up to Penn State's trip to Iowa, GoPSUsports.com spent time with head coach Cael Sanderson. Penn State finished its regular season with a 16-0 record in duals and will head into the postseason with three wrestlers earning a No. 1 pre-seed for the Big Ten Championships.
