UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - No. 6 Penn State men's volleyball (12-2, 7-0) look to continue their win streak of 11-straight as they continue an 11-game home stand hosting games five and six this weekend with No. 12 Cal State Northridge and No. 1 Long Beach State. The Nittany Lions take on Cal State Northridge (10-7, 5-7) Friday, Mar. 4 at 7:30 p.m. ET, followed by a Saturday Mar. 5 match up against the 49's of Long Beach State (15-2, 12-2) at 7:30 p.m. ET in Rec Hall.
QUICK SETS
* Through 14 games this season, junior Chris Nugent leads the team with 193 kills on 362 attempts hitting .331 on the year followed by Jalen Penrose's 108 kills on 220 attempts hitting .205 on the season. Taylor Hammond leads the Nittany Lions with 517 assist, averaging 11.49 per set, while Royce Clemens leads the team with 111 digs. Redshirt Junior Matt Callaway has recorded 53 total blocks this season averaging 1.20 per set this season.
* Penn State currently leads the EIVA with a 7-0 record in conference play. Harvard is second in the EIVA with a record of 4-2 in conference play and 7-6 overall. Saint Francis (Pa.) is in third-place with a 4-3 record in conference play and 9-6 record overall.
A CLOSER LOOK AT THE COMPETITION
Penn State enters Friday's match leading the Matadors in the all-time series 10-4, having notched the tenth win of the series last year on the road in a sweep. Penn State trails Long Beach State 7-15 in the all-time series dating back to 1985. The Nittany Lions earned their seventh win of the series on the road last year in a 3-0 sweep.
AVCA DI-II COACHES' POLL UPDATE: WEEK EIGHT
Penn State held steady at No. 6 in the latest AVCA Top 15 Coaches Poll. PSU has been in the top 15 the last six consecutive weeks since debuting at No. 10 in the AVCA DI-II pre-season poll. The Nittany Lions have now seen or will see a total of nine teams from the top 15 at some point during the regular season.

Penn State will return to Rec Hall for games seven and eight of their 11-game homestand Friday Mar. 18 and Mar. 19 to face Saint Francis (Pa.) and Ohio State with both matched slated for a 7:00 p.m. first whistle.
