GAINESVILLE, FL
- No. 19 Penn State men's track & field team wrapped up the first day of competition at the 2016 Florida Relays on the campus of the University of Florida Friday with two Nittany Lions turning in top-five performances in the 800-meters.

2016 Indoor All-American Brannon Kidder and NCAA Indoor qualifier Isaiah Harris blazed the track to record the No. 2 and No. 3 times in the nation so far this season in the 800-meters. Harris and Kidder's times of 1:46.05 and 1:46.42, respectively, finished third and fourth behind Nike's Wesley Vazquez (1:44.75) and Florida's Andres Arroyo (1:45.78).

Harris' time is a new lifetime best for the freshman from Lewiston, Maine erasing his previous best of 1:46.24 set during a gold medal performance at the 2016 Big Ten Indoor championships that set an all-time Big Ten indoor record in the event.

Robby Creese finished 28th in the 800-meters running a time of 1:50.73 in his 2016 outdoor debut for Penn State.

Jordan Makins rounded out the competition for the Nittany Lions running the 1,500-meters in the second to last event of the day.

Makins, a sophomore from Perth, Australia, finished the day in 26th-place running a time of 3:48.96 setting a new personal best in the process.

The Nittany Lions will wrap up action at the 2016 Florida Relays tomorrow with the final day of the meet set to begin at 12 p.m. ET.
