Women's Golf Compete in Final Round of the Bryan Park Invitational

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. ââ'¬" The Penn State women's golf team competed in the third and final round of the Bryan Park Invitational and improved on their previous round scores again, shooting 312 plus-24, for a combined tournament score of 946 plus-82.

The Nittany Lions were able to move up one spot in the standings to finish the tournament in 13th place.

Newcomer Jackie Rogowicz (Yardley, Pa.) led the team, as she shot 1-under through the front nine on her way to a round score of 74 plus-2.

Senior Halley Morell (Brecksville, Ohio) shot a 78 plus-6 in the final round. Morell finished with a tournament score of 234 plus-18 and tied for 47th in the player leaderboard.

Sophomore Ariana Coyle Diez (Mount Merrion, Dublin, Ireland) had a team-high two birdies and finished with a round score of 81 plus-9.

Newcomer Cara Basso (Downingtown, Pa.) shot a 79 plus-7 in the final round, while Lauren Waller (Canonsburg, Pa.) ended with an 81 plus-9.

The University of Virginia won this year's Bryan Park Invitational with a team score of 888 plus-24 through the tournament. The Cavaliers finished six strokes ahead of the second placed Gamecocks.

Penn State will compete in the Seahawk Invitational in Wilmington, N.C. this upcoming weekend. This will be the Lions final spring tournament before the Big Ten Championship.
