NEW ORLEANS, LA - The Penn State men's track & field team checks in at No. 15 in the latest NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field National Coaches Poll, as announced Monday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The Nittany Lion men start week five at No. 15 after coming off a Penn Relays that saw the men's team qualify three men's relays to the finals in the Championship of America for the first time in recent history.
Penn State dominated the relays qualifying the men's 4x100-meter relay, 4x200-meter relay and 4x400-meter relay for the final on Saturday where the 4x200-meter relay broke an 11-year-old school record clocking 1:23.75.
At the regional level, the men's track & field team remains the No. 1 squad in the Mid-Atlantic region for the third-consecutive week.
The Nittany Lions host the Jim Thorpe Invite Friday, May 6 starting at 2 p.m. at the Penn State Outdoor Track.
