Baseball Adjusts TCU Schedule Due to Inclement Weather

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. – The Penn State baseball team has moved their originally scheduled Friday, May 6 contest against No. 10 TCU to a doubleheader Saturday, May 7 starting at 2 p.m. due to inclement weather in the surrounding area.

Tickets
Tickets for Friday’s game can be exchanged at the State College Spikes box office for any remaining Penn State baseball game starting with Saturday’s single-admission doubleheader and Sunday’s single game starting at 1 p.m. Penn State will conclude its home slate hosting Iowa May 19-21. It is IMPORTANT that fans retain their physical tickets to exchange at the box office.

Parking
Fans attending the Penn State Baseball series against TCU are strongly encouraged to park in Porter North, accessing Park Avenue from the North off I-99. Parking is free of charge, and gates open 90 minutes prior to game time on Friday and Saturday and 60 minutes prior on Sunday. Fans should anticipate heavy traffic on Park Avenue including one-way traffic patterns outbound on Porter Road to College Avenue following commencement ceremonies held in the Bryce Jordan Center and Pegula Ice Arena.

The Nittany Lions will be celebrating graduation weekend Saturday. Graduating seniors can have a cap and gown photo taken with The Nittany Lion and one will win a brand new Kindle. The first 500 fans will have the opportunity to receive Penn State baseball trading cards, shakers and Thunderstix.

Sunday will feature a Rally Towel giveaway while supplies last and is also Vs. Cancer Day, as many Nittany Lions will have their heads shaved postgame to raise cancer awareness. It is also an Ice Cream Sunday where the first 100 kids 12 and under will receive a scoop of ice cream in a Penn State helmet cup.

Unfortunately, Red Land Little League’s scheduled appearance Friday will not be rescheduled.
