UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. - Penn State women's volleyball is set to make six appearances on national television during the 2016 season, as announced by the Big Ten conference.
The annual TV slate features three home dates and three on the road. Penn State's six TV appearances are tied for the most among Big Ten conference opponents.
Penn State makes its first appearance on the Big Ten Network at home in Rec Hall Wednesday, Oct. 5, when it welcomes NCAA national semifinal contender Minnesota, for a 7 p.m. matchup. The Nittany Lions make their next appearance on BTN at Purdue, Friday, Oct. 14 before returning for a mid-week TV match against Ohio State Wednesday, Oct. 19 at 8 p.m. in Rec Hall.
The Nittany Lions make back-to-back BTN appearances on the road at Wisconsin Friday, Oct. 28 at 9 p.m. and at Minnesota Saturday, Oct. 29 at 7:30 p.m. Penn State rounds out its TV schedule with a home date against NCAA national champion Nebraska Friday, Nov. 4 in Rec Hall.
A complete conference TV schedule featuring all matches available online via BTN2go will be released at a later date.
Penn State is set to return four starters for the 2016 season, including AVCA All-Americans Ali Frantti (Spring Grove, Ill.) and Haleigh Washington (Colorado Springs, Colo.), who also earned CoSIDA Academic All-America accolades this fall.
Single-match tickets to all home matches in Rec Hall are set to go on sale to season ticket holders Tuesday July 19 and NLC members Wednesday, July 20. General public season ticket sales will begin Thursday, July 21. Advance tickets are priced at $8 for adults and $5 for youth ages 12 and under. Tickets are also available at the door on gameday priced at $10 for adults.
Penn State women's volleyball has great group rates as well, which go on sale Monday, June 27. Advance group tickets for groups of 20 more are just $4. For group or single-match tickets, fans may call 1-800-NITTANY.
Reserved season tickets for the 2016 season are also on sale. New season ticket packages are priced at $84. Current season ticket holders can renew seats by visiting www.GoPSUsports.com/accountmanager and logging into your account or by calling 1-800-NITTANY. The renewal deadline is set for Friday, July 1.
